Leti Dafne
Born Letizia Sperzaga in Cremona in 1974, Leti Dafne is a singer, rapper, and theatrical author. She graduated from the Conservatorio A. Boito in Parma and earned a degree at the Istituto di Alta Formazione Artistica. She attended the Academy of Scenic Arts for opera singers in Modena and has taught both classical and contemporary singing in numerous schools and music academies. After a 20-year career as an opera singer (debuting in various operatic roles) and theater author, winning numerous literary awards, she launched her Leti Dafne project in 2015. She became the world’s only musician to blend two seemingly distant genres: opera and rap. Despite her classical training, Leti Dafne always loved rap, seeing it as a powerful medium for conveying messages and emotions. "Although I love opera, I felt the need to create something new: my goal was to bring opera closer to today’s audiences, using my passion for rap as a bridge, all while respecting tradition." Her music and videos often celebrate Italian culture and art. Her "Opere in 2 Minuti" format, available on her YouTube channel, tells the plots of famous operas in rap form. In 2017, she released her first video clip, RIP Callas, a humorous take on the opera world. This was followed by her debut EP Perle Ai Porci in 2018 and her first album Molto Di Più in 2020. In 2023, Leti Dafne performed in Laigueglia for Tenco Ascolta and later at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo for the Premio Tenco..
