On stage, an armchair/throne, a television/vision of the world and of oneself. Medea sits, slumped, meditating, brooding, losing herself in channel surfing, eating, a bar of chocolate that offers no consolation, until a call comes in on Skype from an absent and cowardly Jason, who informs her of his decisions. Safe and far from contact, he knows that the best thing to do is to “end it”. And the nurse? A puppet character who gathers the voices of a conscience that would like to make her “see reason”, words of a morality incapable of understanding the pain of a woman betrayed in her guts, words that Medea has in her “grip” and which, therefore, will not be able to change destiny. Technology today becomes a means of escaping from oneself, from responsibilities, turning a familiar environment into a cage that loses its human and intimate meaning. A reality based on outward appearances and the constant search for an ideal of the “perfect” woman, that ideal of beauty that exalts perfection and demonises fat. We disturb the Myth... or rather, we put it “at ease” and make it swallow up the relentless pursuit of perfection that not everyone aspires to, despite the fact that the outside world wants us to conform. We give Medea the task of breaking the mould once again.

BIOGRAFIA REGISTA
Giovanni Maria Currò is an actor, director, and playwright for theater and film. In 2012, he founded the cultural association "Clan degli Attori," of which he remains president. He is co-artistic director of the “Clan off Teatro” in Messina. He trained in Rome at the film acting course directed by Giulio Scarpati, the acting and dubbing academy "Tuttinscena" led by Pino and Claudio Insegno, and the theater conservatory "La Scaletta" led by maestro Giovanni Battista Diotajuti. His teachers also include Adalberto Maria Merli, Massimo Giuliani, Donatella Pandimiglio, Roberto Pedicini, Vito Caporale, Marialuce Bianchi, and Mirella Bordoni. He attended acting and voice workshops with Lina Wertmuller and Sabine Uitz, respectively. He has worked in theater with Walter Manfrè and Ugo Gregoretti, and on television with Beppe Fiorello, Graziano Diana, Blasco Giurato, Enrico Guarneri, Vittorio Sindoni, Fabrizio Frizzi, Pino Caruso, Enzo Monteleone, Alexis Sweet, Stefano Lodovichi, Davide Marengo, Alessandro Angelini. He has acted in films and TV dramas, written and directed plays, and participated in the production of several commercials and music videos.
