Elisa, a teenage opera fanatic, becomes obsessed with playing the role of Carmen, a dream she has always had. As she gets a callback and moves closer to secure the main role, she begins to blur the lines between performance and her personal life when she finds herself drawn to her fellow cast member despite having a boyfriend. Mirroring her character’s reckless choices of stealing and betraying those around her. Elisa soon faces the ultimate question: how far is too far for a dream role?

Ximena Esparragoza Corro is a Mexican filmmaker born in 2005. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the New York Film Academy in New York. Her films often explore themes of identity, mental conflict, and relationships, using film as a tool for social reflection and personal expression, with the goal of helping audiences feel heard and understood in their experiences.
